Renaissance offers the ability for users to log in with a Microsoft account when schools and districts request this option.
Requirements for Logging in With Your Microsoft Account
Note these requirements:
- Your school or district must request Microsoft login; contact Support to make your request or reach out to your Renaissance representative. (Note that Microsoft login is not available in some locations.)
- When you request Microsoft login, you must specify whether you want Microsoft login available for personnel, students, or both.
- Your users must have Microsoft accounts.
- You must provide the users' email addresses or Microsoft unique identifiers to Renaissance (for personnel and/or students, depending on your request). There are three ways to add email addresses to your Renaissance data:
- If your subscription includes Custom Data Integration (CDI), make sure email addresses are included in the data that you provide to Renaissance.
- If you use single-school import to import your users, include email addresses in the files that you import.
- You can add email addresses for users manually when you add or edit student and personnel users.
How to Log In with Microsoft Once the Feature Has Been Added
- On the Renaissance Welcome page, select I'm a Student or I'm a Teacher Administrator.
- On the login page, select Azure or Microsoft under the Log In button (the button name may vary).
- If you are already logged in to Microsoft in the browser and your email address identifies you as a valid user, you will be logged in to Renaissance and will go to your home page. If you aren't currently logged in to Microsoft, you will be sent to a Microsoft login page so you can log in to that account.
If a User Isn't Found
If one of your users attempts to log in and gets a message saying the user was not found, make sure that the user is in Renaissance and that the user's email address has been added to their account.
