Allowing access to Renaissance resources for Renaissance web-based software.

Resolution

Your district or school network may have a firewall, proxy server, or content-filtering software that could prevent access to resources that are used by your Renaissance web-based software. To be sure the software functions as designed, you should add the list of domains below to the allowlist within your firewall, proxy, or content-filtering software. Be sure to allow inbound and outbound http and https communication.

If renaissance-go.com is part of your Renaissance site address, you must also allow WebSocket traffic in order for some areas of the software to function properly, including Star CBM and generating PDFs from reports.

Note: Firewall, proxy, and content filter vendors use different syntax for wildcard domains. If you are having difficulties allowing the domains below, please contact your vendor for assistance.

Note: If your hosted URL begins with "https://global-zone" and you're using Lightspeed, you will also need to exclude these domains from decryption in order to properly allow access. To exclude from decryption, access the Relay.school Website, then go to Global-Settings-General and go to the section called "Exclude from Decryption." Add the domains listed in this document.

Access to MP3/MP4 files

Students may experience errors while taking Star Early Literacy, Star Math, and Star Reading assessments if they are not able to download MP3 and/or MP4 files. For further details, refer to the specific technical recommendations for your platform.
